The most precise results came from direct brain recordings in a macaque monkey, while less invasive fMRI scans of humans also show promising but less accurate reconstructions.

A Waymo self-driving car in Phoenix was pulled over by police after it mistakenly drove into an oncoming traffic lane due to confusing construction signs, ran a red light, and then stopped in a parking lot.
