Megan Torrance is CEO and founder of TorranceLearning, helping organizations connect learning strategy to design, development, data and ultimately performance. Megan has over 25 years of experience in learning design, deployment and consulting.
Megan and the TorranceLearning team are passionate about sharing what works in learning, offering professional development programs in instructional design, learning technologies, racial equity and Agile methods.
At TorranceLearning, Megan has brought several products to market – Eleventure® (an off-the-shelf curriculum of business skills topics), LLAMA® (an adaptation of Agile methods for the instructional design context), and xapi.ly® (the statement builder for xAPI learning products) – as well as founded the xAPI Learning Cohort (a 12-week learning experience offered twice a year with recent enrollment topping 850 worldwide), the ID Ways of Working professional development curriculum and CREW (Cultivating Racial Equity in the Workplace).
Megan is the author of Agile for Instructional Designers (2019), The Quick Guide to LLAMA (2012), and two ATD TD at Work publications: Agile and LLAMA® for ISD Project Management (2014) and Making Sense of xAPI (2017). She is a frequent speaker at conferences nationwide. TorranceLearning is on the 2018 list of Michigan 50 Companies to Watch. In 2019, the Learning Guild named Megan as a Guild Master for her contributions to professional development in the workplace L&D industry.
A graduate of Cornell University with a degree in Communication and an MBA, and an eCornell Facilitator in the Women's Executive Leadership curriculum, Megan lives and works near Ann Arbor, Michigan.
